Overall not sure we are going back again. You don't go to Hedo for the food or the accomodations, you go for the atmosphere. We always hung at the nude pool and ate and drank for hours at that facility. This year they routinely run out or low on beer and most days ran out of chicken and fish, their two main food staples. How in the world do you run out of beer at an all inclusive. Oh, they would finally come with a new keg, but day in and day out they would have an hour or two when they were out. The food was the worst, either completely out or woefully inadequate. Its not like we are asking for cuisine here, simple subsistence would be fine, but they couldn't even do that some days. Greetings, I am responding to this review to acknowledge the comments and complaints generated as a result of the resort's old ownership and its decline prior to 2013. New ownership has invested millions of dollars in infrastructure, product upgrades and overall renovations and enhancements. Take a look at the most recent reviews and you will see this is in fact the truth of what Hedo is today. If you have not returned recently, we encourage you to do so. This trip was combined with ,well, the best looking bunch of fun loving party freaks that call themselves the Hedo Amigos. Proud to say that my beautiful wife of almost 37 years and I are now members of this fantastic bunch of friends. If that just wigs you out, go stay at sandals. Young adults to old, fat, skinny, tight, flabby, it's all here. Having fun in excess is what this place is all about. We didn't feel safe in other parts of Jamaica, but this part of Jamaica is very friendly. We felt safe walking the beach all the way to town. The beach vendors were not pushy at all. I don't know if it's because they have more tourists here but compared to Runaway Bay or Ocho Rios the locals just seemed so relaxed. It was so much better than my other Jamaican experiences. Whether you stay at this resort or not I highly recommend the Negril area over anywhere else in Jamaica. This is the 8th time visiting Hedo. The nude beach was better than i had remember but i will always pack water shoes as there is always foliage at the bottom of the ocean. Be bold, take a chance, get naked, make some friends.
